Tuesday 10: Children’s Health Topics New Parents Must Know About

new parents, baby hand, sassterhood blog

The prospect of becoming a parent comes with a host of emotions ranging from elation to downright terror. We’ve all heard stories or poked fun at how new parents freak out about every little thing, or how they sometimes forget to bring their infant along when they leave the house.

And while all that stuff makes for great stories, it’s not as much fun when you’re the ones experiencing those moments as new parents.

There’s a LOT of stuff to worry about and an endless list of decisions to make as you embark on the most important journey of your life–from which diapers will work best to where you will be investing your savings for their college education. Yep, all that stuff you had ZERO clue about before you learned you were pregnant.

Today, I wanted to share some links to articles, which I hope you’ll find useful in keeping informed as you’re venturing into parenthood. This list is by no means conclusive and the order is random. These are today’s Tuesday 10:

1. How Hollywood’s Vaccine Wars Caused A Whooping Cough Epidemic

2. Major Poultry Farms Routinely Feed Antibiotics To Chickens

3. EWG’s Dirty Dozen Report Lists The Most Pesticide-Heavy Fruits And Veggies Of 2014

4. What Every Child Needs To Thrive

5. Why Breastfeeding Is Important

6. The Lead Hazard In Schools That Won’t Go Away

7. Acetaminophen Dosage Chart

8. Maternity Leave Laws And You

9. About Baby Allergies

10. SIDS Risk Factors
